I am an avid podcast listener – love my AirPods and how easy it is to have one in while I’m doing laundry or barn chores. Here are the ones I listened to most this year and why you might enjoy them! I can’t talk podcasts without letting you know about my own, so read to the bottom to hear about mine!
Happier by Gretchen Rubin – Gretchen is the bestselling author of Better than Before and many other books. The podcast is Gretchen and her sister, TV showrunner Liz Craft, bringing practical, thought-provoking insights into happiness and good habits. They are entertaining and their episodes are packed with helpful ideas, suggestions, interviews, and research-based strategies.
Uncared For – You’re more likely to die as a pregnant person in the United States than any other wealthy nation in the world. Why? This six-part series takes a deeply personal and wide-ranging look at maternal health care around the globe to find the answer. They start in the United States then travel to Germany, the Netherlands, and Costa Rica to see what works and what desperately needs to change.
Here’s Where It Gets Interesting with Sharon McMahon – This one is just fascinating history details that you didn’t learn in school. Host Sharon McMahon, a longtime teacher and one of today’s most influential voices, will ignite your curiosity about the fascinating stuff that wasn’t in history textbooks. She’s joined by notable thought leaders who share insights about history, culture, and politics, and inspire us to grow into more thoughtful, well-informed citizens.
The Lazy Genius Podcast – I just love all of Kendra Adachi’s content from her books to the podcast to her Instagram feed. Part systems expert, part permission giver, Kendra Adachi, The Lazy Genius, is here to help you be a genius about the things that matter and lazy about the things that don’t. Her episodes, such as How to Enjoy the Last Two Weeks of the Year, are entertaining and full of practical tips.
The ChiroMom Podcast – My very own podcast! Three moms who are chiropractors, discussing life, health, business, and friendship. We know how hard it is to try to be everything for everybody. We believe you can do anything, but not everything. We started the podcast two years ago and have had a blast doing it. Episode topics range from stress management to feeding our kids to birth stories.
I hope this inspires you to add some new podcasts to your feed. I’d love to hear about your favorites!
